We Do Not Want any UNITY that SILENCES Hazaras - AFGARA
Published at : October 03, 2021
This campaign is to raise awareness in the west. We ask every organisations, groups and individuals around the world to respect and include the voices of minorities, especially the Hazaras. Let us raise our concerns with freedom. #StopSilencingHazaras
A statement by Sayed Hashim @truehashim (he is not from Afghanistan)
“If you asked me the same question three months ago as a foreigner I wouldn’t even know if it was multi ethnic. All I knew was Pashtuns and Pashto and some speaking Persian. I think many people will currently see this “Afghan identity” in protests as only Pashtuns just as how I saw it before. Currently the Afghan identity is a blurred title in the eyes of outsiders. The Afghan identity became prettier and more inspirational when we got to know about all the other ethnicities in the country. And I think it’ll be solid and even better when those ethnicities are represented clearly and transparently in protests to show the world that “we are not just Afghans, we are Pashtuns, Hazaras, Tajiks, with many religions. And look, we are all allowing each other to speak here because although we are different, we are also one”.”
