This webinar will provide an overview of the responses to the commonly asked questions from DV and SA state coalitions and local jurisdictions that are interested in learning more about HUD Continuum of Care requirements and processes in order to plan, implement, and manage a Comparable Database for all funding reports. The discussion will draw from regulations and other guidance from VAWA, FVPSA, VOCA and HUD and will offer strategies and resources for DV and SA providers who want to coordinate a statewide Comparable Databases system, partner with their HMIS leads and be in compliance with VAWA/FVPSA/VOCA confidentiality and data collection reporting requirements. Data collection requires significant staff time and is critical to demonstrating the need for funding and support. This presentation will provide an overview of West Virginia’s exploration, selection, and implementation of a formalized data collection and reporting software. Facilitators will highlight selection criteria, fundamentals on implementation agreements, what to expect from vendors, lessons learned through the implementation process, and next steps.
